The merit list of students qualified for getting admission into the colleges for the session 2016-17 was published on Thursday.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid formally released the list in a press conference held at his ministry in the afternoon.

Students can get their results through mobile phone SMS and on the official website : www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd

This year, over 13 lakh students for college admissions.

Applications for class XI had been received through online and text messages from May 26 to June 10.

bdnews24.com adds While releasing the list, the minister said that the public and private colleges can accommodate 2.11 million students. That means around 700,000 seats will still be vacant.

“Everyone might not get to go to their preferred colleges, but no one will be denied admission due to paucity of seats,” the minister told the media at his office.
