Police and RAB in different messages sought help of the country’s citizens to fight the militants.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police has sought the help of citizens to report any suspicious activities on the social networking platforms.
On Monday, DMP floated a short message via Facebook urging citizens to report suspicious activities to its cyber unit.
“Report any suspicious IDs, posts or links related to cyber terrorism threat to cyberunit@dmp.gov.bd,” it read.
The post also urged everyone to share the post and spread the word.
Meanwhile, Rapid Action Battalion(RAB) urged people to inform law enforcers if any family members remain missing for long periods of time.
RAB chief Benazir Ahmed made the request after information emerged that at least two of the attackers of Gulshan’s Holey Artisan Bakery and O’ Kitchen had been missing for quite a long period of time.
“If there are missing family members, please inform us without being afraid that law-enforcing agencies will take them away,” Benazir said.
“If they are found, their lives and other lives can be saved,” he added.
