Bangladesh government has called for meeting with the vice-chancellors of all public universities on July 23, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said today.
The minister made the information public after holding a meeting with University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan at the Secretariat.
The minister told reporters that the meeting, which will discuss the recent militancy issues, will be held at the International Mother Language Institute at Shegun Bagicha in Dhaka on July 23.
The government has already called for a meeting with private universities on similar issue which is likely to be held on July 17, a top official told The Daily Star yesterday.
