পোর্ট সিটি ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটির নিজস্ব ক্যাম্পাসের সভাকক্ষে ১৩তম সিন্ডিকেট সভা সম্প্রতি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
ভিসি প্রফেসর ড. মো: নূরল আনোয়ারের সভাপতিত্বে সভায় উপস্থিত ছিলেন ইউনিভার্সিটির প্রতিষ্ঠাতা, প্রেসিডেন্ট ও চেয়ারম্যান এ কে এম এনামূল হক শামীম।
সভায় তিনটি বিভাগের চারজন শিক্ষকের পদোন্নতি, আটটি বিভাগের ১৭ জন শিক্ষকের চাকরি স্থায়ীকরণ, সাতটি বিভাগের নবনিযুক্ত ১৪ জন শিক্ষকের নিয়োগ এবং একজন শিক্ষকের শিক্ষা ছুটির অনুমোদন দেয়া হয়।
এ ছাড়া গত টাইমেস্টারে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মোট ৪৯৭ জন শিক্ষার্থীকে মেরিট অ্যাওয়ার্ড, এক্সট্রা কারিকুলার অ্যাওয়ার্ডসহ মুক্তিযোদ্ধা, উপজাতি, দরিদ্র ও অন্যান্য কোটায় প্রায় ৯১ লাখ টাকার বৃত্তি সভায় অনুমোদন দেয়া হয়।
সভায় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কার্যক্রমে সন্তোষ প্রকাশ করে আরো গতিশীল ও সৃজনশীল করার লক্ষ্যে কাজ করার পরামর্শ দেয়া হয়।
এ সময় অন্যান্যের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা, ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট ও ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান জহির আহম্মদ, ইউজিসি কর্তৃক মনোনীত সিন্ডিকেট সদস্য ও চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সাবেক ভিসি প্রফেসর আনোয়ারুল আজিম আরিফ।
আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন ট্রাস্টি বোর্ডের সদস্য ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অ্যাকাডেমিক অ্যাডভাইজার প্রফেসর ড. এম মজিবুর রহমান, এহসানূল হক রিজন, মাহফুজুল হায়দার চৌধুরী রোটন, বিজ্ঞান ও প্রকৌশল অনুষদের ডিন প্রফেসর ইঞ্জিনিয়ার মফজল আহমেদ, পরীক্ষা নিয়ন্ত্রক মো: সেলিম হোসেন, ব্যবসায় প্রশাসন বিভাগের সভাপতি ড. রাজিব চক্রবর্তি, ইংরেজি বিভাগের সভাপতি এ এস এম ইফতেখারুল আজমসহ সিন্ডিকেটের অন্য সদস্যরা।
Digital Innovation Fair-2018”
Three day long “Digital Innovation Fair-2018” has started in Chittagong from February 23rd to 25th. The A2I program of Prime Minister's Office has developed this system to look over development projects of all the electoral constituencies in Bangladesh.
The objective of this fair is to find out the innovative idea from the all strata of society to materialize the dream of building digital Bangladesh as envisioned by prime minister Sheik Hasina.
Students of department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Port City International University have participated in the fair with their numerous innovative projects. “Electricity generation by using vehicle pressure at speed breaker”, “Saving City under Flooding conditions”, “Low cost environment friendly wind turbine” and “Smart fuel station” were the most attractive projects among all other projects.
Enthusiastic students from the EEE department of PCIU answered all the questions of the visitors about their query regarding the various aspects of their innovative projects. Some National and local Newspapers and TV channel coverage their news about the innovative projects done by the students.
